Game Review: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
Updated: May 27, 2019
I was literally salivating when I heard the sequel to the previous installment “The New Order” was released. Now, I am a huge Bethesda fan. Been a fan since Wolfenstein 3d, DOOM and etc. This would be the 8th installment into the franchise.
After the events of the previous game, the Kreisau Circle retrieves the critically injured William "B.J." Blazkowicz from Deathshead's fortress before destroying it with a nuclear cannon. Blazkowicz falls into a 5-month long coma and has some of his organs removed to facilitate his survival. You eventually use Caroline’s armor to survive when Frau Engel attack’s the U-boat you attempt to escape on. Over the story you meet over other rebellion groups, travel through a decimated New York city and even get decapitated. Ultimately you get your revenge by murdering many Nazi’s and driving your axe through Frau Engel’s head on national television.
The game play was slick. I felt like I was in complete control of B.J killing spree attitude. Now, using a cyborg type armor, you were able to have upgrades to benefit you more rather than just being a human. With massive upgrades to weaponry on top of that, made this for a fun time with some TOP SHELF KILLING. I strongly recommend getting this game and get it on with the killing.
